A visit to the Deetz home takes an unexpected turn when guests accidentally enter the Netherworld and must avoid the temptations of Beetlejuice (or regret it).
“Now that my work is posthumously appreciating in value and recognition, it’s only fair that artistic souls be invited to my magnificent home,” said Delia. “So, come admire my life’s work and Create with a capital C in the first-ever art class from beyond the grave. Just watch out for that pesky trickster in the attic!”
Even though Beetlejuice Beetlejuice was our focus, Tim Burton created a world where both films coexist.
We took the original’s iconic charm, amped it up with wild Netherworld twists, and delivered an experience that pays homage to the classics while daring you to embrace the unexpected.
Experience took place from November 16-27, 2025. It included a full build of the house, studs and all.
WE BUILT THIS EXPERIENCE USING THREE PILLARS
SET DESIGN
Lean into traditional theatrical design, avoiding high-tech effects for real-world textures and detailed craftsmanship.
TIM BURTON'S STYLE
Handmade elements, stripes, dramatic color schemes, distorted proportions and elongated shapes.
LIGHTING + SFX
Using Tim Burton’s signature lighting effects to draw your eye to specific elements and indicate differences between the living world and the afterlife / Netherworld.
CELEBRITY VISITS
TAKE THE TOUR
THE ENTRANCE
Ring the doorbell, and a doorbell version of the “Day-O” melody rings through the house, leaking outside to the steps.
Delia’s assistant will greet you at the door if he isn’t fielding multiple calls at once—bless his soul.

FOYER + LIVING ROOM
You’ll step into the living room where Delia’s celebration of life is staged, with her portrait and classical music setting the mood.
Feel free to wander and soak in the glory of Delia’s ingenuity and exquisite artwork. You never know what you’ll find.
While you’re exploring the space, a spotlight highlights a nondescript door….
THE ATTIC
As you walk into the dusty cobweb filled attic, lights flicker on and the infamous model town comes to life, beckoning you to explore.
Inside, you’ll find items from both the Deetz and the Maitland’s.
Discover the Handbook for the Recently Deceased, and find BJ’s ad stuck inside enticing you to say his name three times. Check out the ad for his Bio-Exorcism biz on the TV and look for a magic piece of chalk.
*My fave anecdote: Tim Burton’s set builders were so impressed they said it was better than theirs!
THE ATTIC MODEL
If you choose to go knocking around the attic, at least admire the Maitlands’ model of Winter River. Even Delia must admit it’s impressive (although a bit dreary).
The Model Town was an act of love. We recreated the entire thing using over a hundred videos and photos of both the set and making of.
It’s filled with details from a model of the house to the Maitland’s hardware store. From the right angles, a photo makes it look life-sized.
WAITING ROOM
Follow the glowing green light through the iconic turn style, where inside the recently deceased wait to meet their caseworker.
Sign in at the info desk, and take your ridiculously high number from the ticket dispenser. Who is that coughing? Wait. Grab your copy of The Afterlife and read up on all the Netherworld headlines. Wait. Rummage through all the files. Wait.
Look through deceased artifacts—smashed football helmets, charred Santa hats, and the like. One magician recently drowned in a water-filled lock box. He might still be there. Blech.
Then, lay yourself to rest on the waiting room couch. You might be here for an eternity!
THE HALLWAY
Outside the waiting room is the classic, disorienting hallway.
Peek through the keyholes, but don’t open any doors unless you want to be eaten by sandworms or wind up in that trickster’s favorite haunt, Dante’s Inferno.
While we can’t bring you back to the living ourselves, perhaps Bob The Shrinker can help, just give him a call on the red phone…
