At the end of the film, The Kid finally battles his demons, and has a breakthrough moment of collaboration with The Revolution resulting in the song Purple Rain, which skyrockets him into superstardom.
Although the credits rolled, The Kid’s story didn’t end. It was just the beginning of his ascent.
We reimagined the home a year after The Kid's success at the end of Purple Rain.
Although the exterior remains, inside, his parents’ drama is gone as they have moved out and The Kid has made it over in his own vision. Guests not only step into his world, but the home itself becomes an exploration and outlet for each guest’s creativity and freedom of expression.

TAKE THE TOUR
THE CLOSET
The Kid’s fashion plays a critical role in his personal on stage and off.
Inside our fantasy closet, guests could try on his wardrobe, see real items and designs from his career, and unleash their own inner icon. At the vanity, they put together their glam rock looks with Prince’s favorite makeup and tried his favorite scents.
Flip a switch for “Fashion Mode” – music blasts and lighting changes to inspire your poses and selfies in front of the mirror.
DOVES CRY SPA
Designed as a tribute to When Doves Cry, one of Purple Rain’s most iconic songs, we reimagine the main floor bathroom with a spa experience inspired by the music video.
Guests indulged in spa treatments like lavender bath bombs, candles, face masks, and fresh lavender sprigs. ASMR of Prince played curated audio track, and a purple plush robe was hung on the door.
Also, yes, that is me recreating the music video.
MUSE LOUNGE
Whether you tickle the ivories, bang the drums, shred on guitar, or bless the world with your best falsetto, Wendy & Lisa left instructions to play the chorus of ‘Purple Rain’ along with pre-recorded audio of The Kid himself.
Books and images of his influences and muses line the walls. Scattered on shelves and tables are poetry books, music theory and memoirs of other musical icons he was drawn to - even the creepy ventriloquist dummy.
THE BEDROOM
Ground Zero for The Kid’s dreams, his bedroom was his sanctuary, his songwriting solace, his romantic lair, and a source of muse-filled inspiration.
Decked out to match the movie, it might not be 1:1 but it’s pretty dang close. Check out his personal tape collection, including one of Prince’s demo recordings —including an extra weird cassette that made an appearence in the movie.
EROTIC BOUDOIR
This bedroom is steeped in The Kid’s sensual music and unmistakable aura, with sensory experiences that tantalize and indulge
The room invites tactile exploration with lace masks, silk scarves, feathers, and aromatic essential oils.
Above, a ceiling mirror magnifies every detail, while a microphone above the bed – a hint at a certain recording in the film – allows you to record and broadcast solely within the room.
PURPLE PARLOR
The Parlor is a multi-function, fluid space guests can unwind or turn it up. Purple velvet wallpaper line the walls, and a purple banana art peace referencing song lyrics from Let’s Go Crazy.
Guess can watch the film Purple Rain from the cozy, sunken living room area, or blast music from a vintage ‘80s stereo preloaded with songs that inspired The Kid.
The kitchen was stocked with easter eggs like bottled water custom-labeled from “Lake Minnetonka,” and purple pancake mix. The pearl necklace lighting was a nod to the string of pearls worn on his shoulder.
THE HALLWAY
Much more than a bathroom, guests can experience the grandeur that mirrors The Kid’s fearless opulence.
Every detail is crafted to exude extravagance, from the purple rockstar throne to the champagne chilling in the mini fridge.
